Family Digital Foundation — Family Identity Space app.

1. Our commitment

Family Digital is built by a 501(c)(3) public charity to give families a private space of their own. Children are part of that space, under their parents' control, and their safety comes before every other goal. We prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form, and we have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

2. How the product protects children

• Private to one family. Every space is private to a single family. There are no public profiles, no search or discovery, and no way for a stranger to find or contact a child. People join a family only through an invitation or setup code issued by that family's guardians.

• Guardian-managed children's accounts. A child's account is created by a parent or guardian, who gives consent under COPPA, sees who is in the family, and can restrict or delete the account at any time. Children under 13 do not get direct messaging or AI features of their own; a guardian decides what an older child can use.

• Removal is immediate. A family owner can remove any member at any time, which ends that person's access on the spot.

• AI assistant. Rosie answers only inside the family's own space, with our AI provider's safety policies applied, and never contacts anyone outside the family.

3. Prohibited conduct

Using Family Digital to create, share, request or store sexual content involving a minor; to groom, sexualize, threaten, extort or traffic a minor; or to arrange contact with a minor for any harmful purpose. This applies to text, images, documents and AI-generated content alike. We remove such content and the people behind it, and we report it.

4. How to report

• In the app: shake your phone on any screen to report a message, a member, or anything that worries you. Reports go straight to our team.

• As a family owner: remove the member immediately (Family Account → the member → Remove), then report.

• By email: safety@familydigital.org

• If a child is in immediate danger: contact local law enforcement. In the United States you can also report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.

5. What we do with a report

We review every report promptly, remove offending content, and suspend or remove the accounts involved. Apparent CSAM is preserved and reported to NCMEC as U.S. federal law requires (18 U.S.C. § 2258A), and we cooperate with law enforcement. We do not tell the reported person who reported them.

6. Compliance

We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), U.S. federal reporting obligations for child sexual abuse material, and the child-safety laws of the places where we operate. We review these standards at least once a year.
